A welcoming and well-established 3-form entry primary school near Featherstone is seeking a dedicated and proactive Attendance Officer to join their team. This is a vital role within the school, supporting pupils and families to improve attendance and engagement.

About the Role:
As the school’s Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in monitoring attendance, supporting families, and working with the wider school community to promote positive attendance. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance data, following up on absences, and conducting home visits when necessary.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitoring daily attendance and identifying patterns or concerns
• Communicating with parents and carers to support improved attendance
• Conducting home visits where appropriate
• Maintaining accurate records and using school MIS systems
• Working closely with senior leaders and external agencies
• Promoting and supporting a positive attendance culture across the school

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a school office environment is essential
• Ideally some experience with school attendance processes
• Confident using school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor)
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness and ability to carry out home visits
• Full-time availability preferred, but part-time hours may be considered
