Behaviour support assistant opportunities long- term and permanent in the Leeds area. If you have a real passion for supporting vulnerable individuals as a behaviour support assistant and keen on making a real difference in children’s lives then we are looking for you! Your support will begin at the start of your registration. The role is to work as a behaviour support assistant. PK Education will provide you with a personalised process, an experienced specialist consultant dedicated to working on your behalf to source you your desired role. We are interested to hear from the following:

  • Level 2 and above teaching assistant qualification, BA degree in sports, education, psychology, youth and community or SEND, prison officer, probation officer, security guards, military backgrounds, or relevant experience.

  • As a behaviour support assistant, you will be passionate in making a real difference in children’s lives.

  • Understanding of vulnerable children with differentiated special educational needs including: SEMH, ADHD, complex needs, severe violent and challenging behaviour, attachment disorder, and children looked after by local authority, disengaged in their learning and OCD.

  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively.

  • Observing changes in behaviour and efficiently re-directing attention to de-escalate situations that may arise.

  • Committed and openness to learn and develop a career as a behaviour support assistant within a pupil referral unit or SEMH setting.

  • Ability to provide a nurturing, calm and positive climate.

  • DBS on the subscription service.

  • Competitive rates of pay £350-£375 per week.
