Behaviour Support Assistant

I am working with a large SEMH setting in Wakefield who are currently looking for behaviour support assistants that want to make a difference in children’s lives. One position is to work within their main site supporting learners from upper KS2 to KS3 that present with ASD, Complex needs and severe challenging behaviour. The other role is supporting their KS4 learners with similar difficulties.  These two roles are not for the faint hearted. They require determination, solid behaviour management and someone that is not afraid of challenging situations. We will also consider anyone who is from a Sporting, or fitness background. Alternatively, Probation or prison officer background. It is highly important that you are enthusiastic in being a positive role model for these children.

Job spec and description:

  • Have experience dealing with individuals with challenging behaviour and complex social and emotional needs.

  • Will consider individuals from sporting background, fitness background, Probation or prison officer who are looking for a challenging and rewarding role.

  • Must have solid behaviour management.

  • Must be enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children with severe challenging behaviour.

  • Team Teach de-escalation training is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

  • Be a positive role model for the learners you are supporting.

  • Be willing to get involved and not afraid of using your own initiative.

  • Be prepared every day is highly challenging and differentiated.

  • -Competitive rates of pay from between £70-£80 per day (AWR Compliant)
