Behaviour Support Worker required – Leeds – £55 to £80 per day


As a passionate behaviour support worker are you able to support young people by engaging them in lessons assist them to grow?


This exciting behaviour support worker vacancy available for a long-term position starting after the Easter break is the perfect opportunity to join a large primary school in the Leeds area. This rewarding role is to start after Easter and initially will run up until Summer, although has the potential to continue into the new academic year.


Behaviour Support Worker responsibilities and duties


This Behaviour Support worker position included working with young people on a 121 or group basis supporting them in lessons and out of class. This role can be highly rewarding but very demanding at the same time. No day is the same and the young people require someone with a supportive and caring attitude towards their learning.

Support workers of all experiences are encouraged to apply and no formal qualification are necessary however experience of working with young people in the SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) field is highly desirable. If you want to help and enjoy growing young people’s confidence then this is a role for you. 


To be considered for the Behaviour Support Worker role you should have:

  • A minimum of 3 months’ experience working within SEMH

  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

  • Resilience of dealing with complex situations that arise on a day to day basis

  • Ideally you will be Team Teach trained however we have the option to be able to offer this training at a greatly reduced cost
