Job Purpose: Providing training and pastoral support to Trinity Trainees to ensure that they meet their potential in accordance with the schemes aims, and assessment verification of competence.
Main Duties: The following is typical of the duties the postholder will be expected to perform. It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar nature and level may be required from time to time.
1 To prepare and deliver induction and training programmes for trainees, including the assessment and review of their training needs and the identification of objectives within individual action plans, to ensure that trainees, and their supervisors, have a clear understanding of their commitment and what is to be delivered.
2 To ensure the general safety and physical wellbeing of learners by applying with all fire, health and safety regulations and procedures.
3 To offer pastoral support to trainees in order to assist them to meet their objectives and obtain maximum value from the training being offered.
4 To assist with the trainee recruitment and selection procedure, (in accordance with the Authority’s Code of Practice) to ensure that trainees appointed meet the criteria of the schemes.
5 To identify and develop suitable work experience opportunities including the completion of all associated documentation including Health and Safety vetting and risk assessments.
6 To assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and to act in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.
7 To assist, as appropriate with the provision (including the assessment and verification of competencies).
8 To prepare and maintain appropriate records, statistics and files to meet requirements of the examining body.
9 To liaise with managers, supervisors, and providers to ensure agreed programs are being delivered and that problems with trainees are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
10 To take part in the activities of the school as required.
11 To be aware and adhere to all LA/LSC guidelines that may impact on any activities or work undertaken.
12 To promote and implement the Council’s Equality Policy in all aspects of employment and service delivery.
