Job Description:

Secondary Drama Teacher required – January 2019 – Rossendale

£100 – £160 per day

This exciting Secondary Drama Teacher vacancy available for a long-term position is the perfect opportunity to join a highly desirable secondary school in the Rossendale area.  This position begins in January 2019 and will run until the end of the academic year (in the first instance)

Are you a lover of performing arts?  As a passionate Drama Teacher are you able to foster a love of theatre and performing among young people?

This Drama position will teach a variable timetable of Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 class groups. You will be required to plan lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

Highly desriable qualities:

  • Experience teaching GCSE Drama (Eduqas exam board)
  • Experience teaching BTEC Drama (at Key Stage 5)

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for the role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the Maths curriculum including the new GCSE

Additional requirements:

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
