Job Description

DT Teacher (with ability to cover Art/Food Technology/Graphics) required – Durham – £130 – £200 per day

Are you a DT Teacher with a passion to encourage progression in your pupils?

This exciting DT Teacher vacancy is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for more flexibility and placements in a variety of good schools in Gateshead.

This rewarding role is to start after Easter and will continue until the end of the academic year.

DT Teacher responsibilities and duties:

–     You will be required to deliver lessons in accordance with the planning provided that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

– You will at all times implement school policies and procedures and manage the classroom and behaviour.

– You will also be required to cover Art/Food Technology/Graphics lessons.

DT Teachers of all levels and experience will be considered for this role, including NQTs.

To be considered for the DT Teacher role you should have:

·       Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

·       The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

·       Strong subject knowledge of your chosen specialism, with the ability and experience to teach DT to KS3 students and cover Art/Food Technology/Graphics lessons where needed.


DT Teacher Salary and Benefits:

·       Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online, PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
