Job Description



PK Education are excited to announce we are working with an organisation that specialises in working with Adults who have a variety of learning disabilities.

This organisation has ‘HUBS’ across the north east which are all looking for employability coaches, where you will work in sessions to provide support in order to help clients gain employment in an area they have an interest in. This could come in the form of CV writing, field studies to see what jobs are available to them and helping them to understand the roles they apply for.

Work will often be independent at a neutral venue or within the hubs themselves. Experience within employability advantageous for this role.

Work will be across Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and Northumberland. Work will be flexible to take into account where you live and locating the best placed clients for you to work with.

For this particular role, you must hold a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.

The ideal candidate will be confident, caring and outgoing, with an ability to support adults with a wide range of abilities and/or special needs. You must be committed to helping learners achieve their potential.

The successful candidate must have experience in some of the following areas:

•Support / Care Work

•Working with Autism or through personal reasons

•Worked with SEN provisions / schools

•Youth Work backgrounds


You will have or be willing to apply for a DBS on the updates service and full assistance can be provided to achieve this if necessary.

 All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary (albeit ongoing) position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
