PK Education are working closely with a Nottinghamshire Secondary School to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of English for a long-term supply teaching post. This post is scheduled to start ASAP and will continue until Easter, with the likelihood of being extended till the end of the academic year. It is a part time post, so you will be required to work 3 days a week.
As a Teacher of English, you will be required to deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons to pupils of a wide range of abilities. You will be teaching mainly across Key Stage 3, with some Key Stage 4 groups, so a strong knowledge of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 English syllabus is required to be successful in this role. As this is a long-term post, you will be required to plan and prepare lessons, mark work and assess the progress of pupils. Strong behaviour management skills are also required, as you will need to ensure that students remain on task during lessons.
The school itself is a large school in the North Nottinghamshire area. The school is easily commutable from Mansfield, Nottinghamahire and Warsop. The school is a pleasant, welcoming and vibrant school, in which students are given excellent learning opportunities to succeed and develop into their full potential. Students are encouraged to flourish both academically and personally. In particular, the English Department are a well-led and well-established faculty within the school, that are highly successful.
