Job Description:

Secondary Geography Teacher required – September 2019 – Rochdale

£100 – £165 per day

 

This exciting Geography Teacher position available for a long term role starting in September 2019 is the perfect opportunity to join a desirable secondary school in the Rochdale area. 

 

Are you passionate about geography?  As an enthusiastic Geography Teacher are you able to engage young people in learning about both the physical and human geography of the UK and the rest of the world?

 

This Geography Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups.  You will be required to plan and deliver Geography lessons that challenge and engage learners across a range of abilities. Humanities teachers who specialise in History or RE but have taught Geography are also welcome to apply.

 

This Ofsted ‘Good’ school has a new leadership team that are passionate about implementing strategies that will ensure learners are provided with a top class education.  Their vision is to give students the opportunity to succeed academically and socially beyond both their expectations and prior attainment – in order to deliver this vision the school aims to provide a learning experience that is enjoyable and engaging.

 

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs.

 

To be considered for this Geography Teacher role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the Geography curriculum including the new GCSE.

 

Additional requirements:

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
