This exciting Graduate Cover Supervisor position is the perfect opportunity to join a dynamic and welcoming Special Educational Needs school environment in the Birmingham area. This role is perfect for the individual looking to get more involved within the classroom setting and aiding young people with SEN to help maximise their potential whilst creating a calm and effective learning environment. Furthermore, this could provide the vital skills and experience to anyone looking to further their teaching career by pursuing a PGCE.
This Graduate Cover Supervisor role involves:
Liaising with the school cover manager on a daily basis in order to cover lessons for absent teachers across the curriculum.
Presenting tasks to students, taking into consideration different learners’ needs.
Support pupils where possible with the tasks you have presented.
Applying school policies
Building positive relationships with colleagues and students.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a degree.
Be adaptable and flexible in the way tasks are presented to students.
Good organisation and time management.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience working in an SEN environment.
Be confident working with a variety of ages from KS2 – KS4.
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
