Humanities Teacher

Job Description:

We are looking for an innovative, passionate and committed individual to join a fantastic school in Chesterfield as a Humanities Teacher. You’ll be developing the subject area and the pupils’ love of it. Flexibility and the desire to take part in all aspects of the school will be required. This is a superb opportunity to help shape the future of the school and the confident, independent and forward-thinking pupils who they inspire each day.

In your new role as a dynamic Humanities Teacher you’ll be planning and delivering engaging lessons to students in KS3 and KS4. You must be able to teach all Humanities subjects up to KS4. This role is starting as soon as possible and will continue long term.

In order to apply for this position you will need to:

  • Hold a QTS qualification (To be formally recognised as a Teacher) But please note: We are also interested in speaking to unqualified Teachers and Cover Supervisors – call for details!)
  • Have excellent organisational skills and classroom management
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Be willing to process a new DBS or already hold one registered on the update service.
  • Have experience of working with children in an educational setting.
  • You will be a specialist with the ability to inspire and motivate students using your knowledge and enthusiasm of the subject.
  • Be able to build good rapport with both students and staff
