Job Description:

Secondary Humanities/Religion Teacher required – April 2019 – Tameside

£100 – £160 per day


PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with an Ofsted graded ‘good’ secondary school in the Tameside area in order to recruit an organised and engaging humanities teacher for a long term role starting in April 2019. This position has the potential to continue to the next academic year.


Do the places, people and cultures of the world enthuse you?  As an inspirational Humanities Teacher can you motivate an active cohort of KS3 and KS4 students in sharing your passion for Religion? 

The school are looking for a dedicated and organised teacher to join their dynamic humanities department.  The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and some KS4 Religion to classes across a range of abilities.  A strong candidate will also have experience teaching either History or Geography.


Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs


To be considered for the role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the Religious Studies curriculum


Additional requirements:

Reference details will be requested prior to registration.

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
