We are currently recruiting for a Humanities teacher to start ASAP. This is full time at an alternative provision Academy in the South of Leeds. You will need to be confident at teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 students. The unit provides Education for students that have been excluding from mainstream schools and will have behavioural difficulties. They will require someone with a thick skin, determination and enthusiasm in their Teaching and learning style. Class sizes are very small with around maximum of 8 pupils per class.
Job spec & Description:
- Must of QTS or equivalent
- Must have a degree and have a specialist subject sociology Humanities, Geography, History, or equivalent.
- Plan & Prepare lessons adapted to encourage development.
- Strong behaviour management.
- Clear spoken communication
- Follow school behaviour policies.
- Motivate and engage pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative in their delivery.
- Have DBS on Subscription Service or willing to apply for a new one.
