Teaching Assistants required

We are currently recruiting for qualified level two Teaching Assistants to start at ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. There are three large SEMH settings across the Leeds area, therefore must how resilience and passionate about supporting learners with challenging behaviour. Job description and Job Spec:

  • Must have at least level two Teaching Assistant qualification.

  • Resilient and solid behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent team work skills

  • Reading, writing and numeracy skills.

  • Team Teach training is an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

  • Supervise and provide support for pupils with differentiated needs such as: SEMH, ADHD, Attachment disorder, challenging behaviour and complex needs.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual educational/behavioural plans and personal care programmes.

  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils, teachers and parents and interact with them accordingly to individual needs.

  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with lessons plans and assist with the display of pupils work.

  • Use Strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support a pupils to achieve learning goals.

  • Assist with the planning of learning activities.  

  • Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on either a one to one basis or in small groups.

  • Lead on certain directions under the direction of the teacher
