PE Teacher required

Job Description:

PK Education are looking for PE Teachers, who are wanting flexible, temporary work starting in September across the Leeds area. The settings are quite challenging; therefore, individuals will be required to have strong behaviour management skills. The schools you will be required to work in are SEMH settings. All pupils attending have additional needs. This can vary from; challenging behaviour, attachment disorder, attention hyperactive deficit disorder, permanently excluded from a mainstream school and disengaged in their learning. The class sizes are very small with a maximum number of 9 pupils. The lessons need to be innovative, practical and engaging.

 To be successful for this role you will:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent

  • Degree specialist in Physical education.

  • Must be flexible and adaptable in working across the SEMH settings.

  • Driving licence is an advantage, but not essential.

  • Have strong behaviour management skills.

  • Demonstrate experience of raising attainment and the outcome.

  • Keep pupils engaged and on task.

  • Ability preparing and planning lessons.

  • Can teach across curriculum.
