Job Description:

PE Teacher – SEMH – Rochdale
£100 – £150 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a developing special school in the Rochdale area in order to recruit dynamic Teachers of PE who are passionate about working with young people and experienced with SEMH.

This special school are looking for creative secondary teachers specialising in PE and sports join the growing staff team. You will be required to deliver engaging PE lessons to small groups of students across Key Stage 3 and 4. This alternative provision currently caters for secondary aged students with a variety of SEN including Social Emotional & Mental Health difficulties (SEMH), ADHD and Attachment disorders, so you will need to be resilient, have excellent behaviour management and a calm but firm approach. The ability to cover a range of other subjects as well would be beneficial.

This PE Teacher role is to start at Easter or sooner and if successful will lead to a permanent position. It would suit an experienced teacher or NQT who is a team player and looking for a new challenge. You will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

To be considered for this PE Teacher role you must have:
Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
Excellent subject knowledge specialising in PE
Strong behaviour management.
Experience with SEMH.

Additional requirements:
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
