Permanent SEMH Teaching Assistant or HLTAPermanent
PK Education are working with an Independant school that supports SEMH students. This is a permanment roe for a teaching assistant or a HLTA.
Experience working with young people is essential and the ideal candidate will have a miniumum of 2 years experience working with children with SEN at a secondary school age and a motivation to work with and improve outcomes for young people is essential. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
-Build and maintain successful relationships with learners -Support a named pupil or a group of students in traditional and non-traditional learning environments.
-Deliver activities aimed at engaging pupils in learning / improving behaviour
-Challenge and motivate pupils, promote and reinforce self-esteem.
-Implement behaviour management strategies
-Work with young people at risk of exclusion / excluded from mainstream education
-Offer a supportive approach in a role-modelling/mentoring capacity
-To record observations on young people’s behaviour and progress
-Support and feedback from experienced, friendly Consultants
– An attractive ‘recommend a friend’ scheme, for any referrals that you make to PK education
