Physical Education Teacher

Job Description:

Secondary Physical Education (PE) Teacher required – Rochdale

£100 – £165 per day


PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a vibrant secondary school in the Rochdale area in order to recruit an enthusiastic teacher of Physical Education for a long term (and potentially permanent) position starting in September 2019.


Are you a dynamic PE teacher?  Do you also have experience teaching dance?  Are you able to use your passion for your subject to engage learners in making progress learning both practical and theory PE?


The school are looking for a positive and dedicated teacher to join their friendly PE department.  The successful candidate will be required to teach KS3 and KS4 Physical Education to classes across a range of abilities.  Lessons should challenge students and be fully differentiated to ensure that learners of all abilities can make good progress.  Ideally the school are looking for a teacher with experience teaching dance as well as PE. Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for this Physical Education Teacher role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the PE curriculum including the new GCSE.

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
