Job Description:

Secondary Religious Education / Religious Studies Teacher required – ASAP – Bolton

£100 – £165 per day

This exciting Secondary Religious Education Teacher position available for an initial temporary position (with a view to becoming long term/permanent) and starting ASAP is the perfect opportunity to join an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Academy in the Bolton area.

Are you fascinated by religion?  As an enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher are you able to engage young people in learning about different cultures and beliefs around the world?

This Religious Education / Religious Studies Teacher position will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups.  The successful candidate will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge students of all abilities and promote good progress.  Opportunity for discussion and debate should be built into lessons where appropriate.

This Ofsted ‘Good’ school has a modern, state-of-the-art building that’s fully equipped across all subjects with the ability to provide a top class education, allowing learners the opportunity to explore their talents and develop into well rounded young adults.  In addition to the learning environment the school also invests heavily in its staff in order to offer students with top class teaching and learning.

When visited by Ofsted one inspector commented ‘through strong leadership and good teaching and learning, students make good progress across the wide range of subjects on offer’.

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for the role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum including the new GCSE

Additional requirements:

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
