Science Teacher

Job Description:

PK Education are working closely with a Nottinghamshire Secondary School to appoint a Teacher of Science for a long-term supply teaching post. This Teacher of Science position is due to start on ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year.It is a full-time post, working Monday to Friday. 

As a Teacher of Science, you will be required to deliver dynamic, engaging and inspiring Science lessons to mixed ability pupils. You will be teaching a combination of Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, so no particular specialism is required. However, an ability to teach any Science Specialism at A Level would be highly beneficial. As this is a long-term post, you will also be required to prepare your own lessons, mark the work of students, assess their progress and report on pupil progress. Where required, you may also be required to carry out general cover across the school. 

The school is a large school on the outskirts of Notitngham. The school boasts an excellent reputation locally, and is known for its excellent examination results at both GCSE and A-Level. It is a pleasant and welcoming school, with fantastic pastoral support for students. The Science Department are a well-led and dynamic faculty, who continue to achieve superb examination results.
