Job Description:

Secondary Science Teachers required – ASAP – Rossendale

£110 – £160 per day

These exciting Secondary Science Teacher positions available for a temporary (with the potential to become a long-term/permanent) basis are the perfect opportunity to join an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in the Rossendale area.  The school are looking for a Biology specialist for a fulltime role and a Chemistry specialist for a part-time role (0.6 timetable)

Are you passionate about science?  As an enthusiastic Science Teacher are you able to engage young people in learning about the laws of science that govern the universe?

These Science Teacher positions will teach a variable timetable of both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 class groups.  You will be required to plan and deliver lessons that challenge and engage learners across a range of abilities.  Successful candidates will be required to teach general science at KS3 and their specialism (chemistry or biology) at KS4.

This Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school nurtures a strong sense of ambition in young people through delivering a learning experience that both challendes students and supports them in equal measure.  The school prides itself on having strong traditional values and offerning a safe environment where learners can both flourish and achieve to their full potential.

Teachers of all experience levels will be considered for the role, including NQTs

To be considered for the role you should have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).

The ability to quickly build positive relationships with both staff and students.

Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum including the new GCSE

Additional requirements:

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
