We’re on the hunt for a Secondary Science Teacher to join a busy school in Rotherham. This exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to join the faculty will be a long-term position, 5 days a week, starting after Easter.

As a Secondary Science Teacher you’ll be expected to plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to students of all abilities in KS3 and KS4. As well as this, the behaviour of the classroom will need to be monitored.

The school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’, and has a lovely team of teachers that work closely and assist each other.

The requirements for a Secondary Science Teacher are as follows:

  • A dynamic, inspirational and enthusiastic classroom practitioner with high expectations in your own classroom. 
  • Fully committed to learning, high quality teaching and raising standards of all students. 
  • Passionate about your subject; able to inspire and motivate students and staff. 
  • Committed to ensuring all students reach their potential. 
  • Able to recognise opportunities and face challenges, whilst maintaining your sense of humour and care for young people.
  • Capable of promoting partnerships and collaborative working. 
  • A role model for our students and staff. 

The following qualifications and checks are needed also:

  • PGCE in Science or relevant degree
  • QTS or NQT status
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service

Secondary Science Teacher Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive rates of pay from between £110 to £175 per day (AWR Compliant).
