SEBD Teacher – Stockport
Pay: £100-150 per day
 

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a dynamic special school in the Stockport area in order to recruit positive teachers with SEBD experience. This long term role is to start as soon as possible until December.

Are you an experience teacher who is passionate about helping students to succeed who often face barriers to learning and are you looking for a new challenge? If so this is the perfect opportunity for you!

This Ofsted graded ‘good’ special school in Stockport caters for vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 who are disengaged from mainstream education. Students have a range of SEN, such as social emotional & behavioural difficulties (SEBD) this may also include ADHD, Looked After Children and attachment disorders. The role will involve teaching a small class of year 7 students across the curriculum, so the ability to deliver a range of subjects in a creative way would be beneficial. You will need excellent behaviour management and a flexible approach to be successful in this role with the desire to create a positive and safe learning environment for all pupils.

Ideal candidates will:

  • Hold recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
  • Be experienced working with SEN, specifically SEBD.
  • Have good subject knowledge across the curriculum.
  • Be determined to inspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential.
  • Have excellent behaviour management with knowledge of a range of de-escalation techniques.

Additional requirements:

  • Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
  • Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
