SEBD Teacher

Job Description:

SEBD Teacher – Stockport
£100 – £150 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a special secondary school in the Stockport area in order to recruit a creative Teacher to start as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.

This special school is part of a large charity and are looking for a positive and dynamic teacher who is wanting a new challenge to join their supportive staff team. The successful candidate will be required to plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum to small groups of vulnerable students who are unable to access mainstream education and often face barriers to learning. Some of the pupils who attend are Looked After Children in care and have a variety of SEN including Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), mental health issues, ADHD and Attachment disorders, so you will need to have excellent behaviour management, a flexible approach and caring attitude. You will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

This role would suit an experienced and energetic teacher with strong classroom management however NQT’s are also welcome to apply.

To be considered for the SEBD Teacher role you must have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent
Good subject knowledge across the curriculum
Experience working with SEBD, mental health and ADHD
Strong behaviour management with a calm but firm approach

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
