Job Description:

SEN Secondary Teacher – Behaviour Specialist – Manchester
£100 – £140 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a special school in the Manchester area in order to recruit experienced Secondary Teachers to teach vulnerable young people.

The school are looking for dynamic Secondary Teachers who have experience working with students with various Special Educational Needs (SEN), specifically those with Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD). The successful candidate will be required to deliver engaging lessons in their specialist subject area to small groups of students; the ability to teach other subjects would also be beneficial. This special school caters for pupils aged 14 to 16 who are unable to attend mainstream education and at times display challenging behaviour, so excellent behaviour management and knowledge of a range of de-escalation techniques is essential. You will be responsible for creating a positive and safe environment for all young people.

 

To be considered for the role you must have:

Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
Excellent subject knowledge across curriculum.
Outstanding behaviour management with a calm but firm approach.
Experience working with SEBD.
Team teach or similar de-escalation training (beneficial).

Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
