PK education are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to work on full-time at a “Outstanding” school in Nottingham.
We are looking for candidates who are committed to making a real difference to the lives of children and young people with Autism.
The “Outstanding school is an all-age, 110-place, community special school for pupils aged 4 to 19 with autism. These pupils have a wide range of associated learning needs and physical, sensory, medical and behavioural needs. The diversity of the pupil population has meant that class groupings are based on individual needs and year groups. The school serves a very diverse community.
The role will be for 5 days atleast untill the end of the academic year.
To clarify, to be considered for this position, you need to:
Be a qualified teacher
Be responsible for providing a high quality of teaching and learning, and deliver a rich and varied curriculum
Implement effective planning, assessment, policies and procedures
Be organised, hardworking, and have good interpersonal skills
Have a range of experience teaching children and young people with autism working within the PScales
Have the resilience and experience in managing pupils with challenging behaviour
Understand and personalise learning for pupils who are pre-verbal, or have communication needs associated with their Autism (have experience/a willingness to learn speech, language and communication strategies)
Effectively lead and manage a team of teaching assistants, assigned to your class
Be expected to communicate clearly and be able to develop good working relationships with young people, their families, staff and a range of other professionals
You will be paid between £115-£170 a day depending on your experience, qualifications and your location from the school.
