Job Description:

SEN Teaching Assistant – Trafford
£60 – £75 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a special school in the Trafford area in order to recruit positive Teaching Assistants who have knowledge and experience of SEN for this temporary role starting as soon as possible.

This special school in Trafford is part of a growing trust and caters for young people aged 11 to 18 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They are looking for a committed and pro-active TA who will be required to work closely with the class teacher and support small groups of students within the classroom of the post 16 provision. You will need a caring attitude and flexible approach.

Alongside the friendly staff team you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Experience supporting students with a range of SEN.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong behaviour management with a calm but firm approach.

Additional requirements:

Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
