SEN Teaching Assistant:

 

Are you a passionate and experienced SEN teaching assistant looking for career progression and a full time role?

 

A “good” SEN school based in the east of Leicestershire is currently looking for an SEN Teaching assistant to join their growing base of staff. This forward thinking and progressive specialist school require someone to work a full 5 days per week, with 2 days each week spent outside of the classroom helping with extra-curricular activities such as hill walking, fishing and horse riding.  This is a highly desirable school for children with SEN/SEMH needs and the school actively encourage its members of staff to undertake the training they provide to improve their skill sets and further help the pupils.

                This SEN Teaching assistant role is unique in that the school are looking to take someone on a permanent basis should they integrate well with the current team and build a good rapport with the pupils. The school are using the latest technologies and practices to encourage learning in a different way to a mainstream setting, using active learning and a more hands on approach to get the pupils to engage more.

                To be considered for this role you should have:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs

  • The ability to build strong, positive relationships with staff and students

SEN Teaching Assistant Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive rates of pay from between £55 to £75 per day (AWR Compliant).
