PK Education’s Birmingham branch are working with a welcoming school in the Stourbridge area in order to recruit positive and pro-active SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about the education and emotional needs of children.
This school caters for primary and secondary children as well as a post 16 centre. They are looking for committed TAs who are experienced and passionate about working with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Pupils may have a range of SEN including Autism, complex needs and PMLD.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to support children with additional needs on a one to one or in small sized work groups. You will work closely with the class teacher assisting with lessons and activities while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for all young people.
To be considered for the SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have:
A qualification in education or child care.
Experience supporting young people with a range of SEN.
Good literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
Knowledge across the Primary curriculum.
Excellent behaviour management with a calm approach.
A passion for helping young people to achieve success.
Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
