Job Description

I am currently working on behalf of PK Education to recruit Special Needs Support Assistants who have experience of working with children and young adults who have a visual impairment. If you have a good working knowledge of Braille, then this would be advantageous.

This is a great opportunity to work with primary and secondary aged children across Tyne and Wear and Northumberland.

I have both full time and part – time positions available, to start in September 2019.

Candidates would be expected to be qualified to at least Level 3 in Supporting Education and Learning. These positions would also suit graduates who have relevant experience of working within special needs.

Prior experience is very important, even if it has only been in a voluntary capacity. You must be able to produce a child based reference and having no prior criminal convictions is essential, as you would have to undertake a DBS check.
