SEND Teacher – ASD Specialist – Stockport
£100 – £150 per day

PK Education’s Manchester branch are working with a warm and friendly special school in the Stockport area in order to recruit passionate Teachers who specialise in Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This Ofsted graded ‘good’ special school is part of a large charity and are looking for positive Teachers (Primary or Secondary) to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities across the curriculum to children aged from 5 to 19 with varying degrees of Autism. You will need excellent behaviour management with a calm and flexible approach. You will be working closely with support staff and other professionals to create a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

To be considered for the ASD Teacher role you must have:

PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience and understanding of SEND, specifically ASD.
Good subject knowledge across the curriculum.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
A calm attitude and flexible approach.

Additional requirements:

Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
