Job Description:

SEND Teaching Assistant – Bury

£60 – £80 per day

PK Education are seeking to appoint a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible on a long term basis. This rewarding position will involve working with various students who have a range of SEND at a secondary school in the Bury area. You will support pupils on a one to one basis and in small groups liaising with the class teacher. We are looking for a dedicated and caring individual who can nurture and develop the pupil’s abilities and ensure a positive learning environment is maintained throughout. This role will see the successful applicant working within a very supportive and welcoming team and is the perfect opportunity for a dynamic TA looking for a new challenge.

To be considered for this SEND Teaching Assistant role you should:

  • Have experience supporting students in a secondary setting
  • Have worked with a range of SEND, including MLD, ASD and SEMH
  • Be an organised, friendly and flexible team player, with good interpersonal skills
  • Have good numeracy, literacy and communication skills
  • Be determined to inspire and motivate children to achieve their full potential

Additional requirements:

  • Reference details will be requested prior to registration.
  • Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – if you do not have a DBS registered online PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
