PK Education are honoured to be working with an SEN setting in Northumberland.
We are looking for an outstanding Teaching assistant with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage & inspire a young people who demonstrates challenging behaviour.
You will work with a student who has a range of additional needs and does not cope well in mainstream education. You will work exclusively with a particular student to help them intergrate within the post 16 setting of this school. Experience in any of these areas is advantageous but not essential.
DUE TO THE NEEDS OF THIS PARTICULAR YOUNG PERSON, HE REQUIRES A MALE SUPPORT ASSISTANT
The ideal candidate for this role will have: – experience of helping young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), ASC (Autism) or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) – be an effective communicator – be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of individuals within the group – have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom – be able to provide a calm and positive presence
You will have extensive experience working with learners with extreme behavioural difficulties.
This inspirational school is registered for Key Stage 1-5 for pupils.
All pupils receive individualised programmes which support their transition into the school environment.
The primary activity of the school is the provision of specialist education services to young people a variety of additional needs.
