PK Education are working exclusively with a Rotherham Secondary School to appoint a Teacher of Food Technology for a long-term supply teaching post. This post is scheduled to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year. It is a part-time position, working Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.
As a Teacher of Food Technology, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality and effectively differentiated Food Technology lessons to mixed ability pupils. You will be teaching across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, so a good knowledge of the GCSE Food Technology syllabus is required. You will also need to have good classroom management skills, so that you can ensure students remain on task during lessons. As this is a long-term role, you will be responsible for planning lessons, preparing some resources and marking the work of students.
The school itself is a large academy that is part of a local Multi-Academy Trust. The school is located on the outskirts of Rotherham, easily accessible from Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster. The school sets high expectations of students, and they are encouraged to thrive and fulfil their full potential.
