PK Education are currently working in partnership with a Chesterfield Secondary School to appoint a Teacher of Girls PE for a long-term supply role. This Teacher of Girls PE post is scheduled to start on Monday 25th February 2019 and will continue until Friday 12th April 2019, with the likelihood of being extended beyond this point for the right candidate. It is a full-time position, so you will need to be available five days a week.
As a Teacher of Girls PE, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality and differentiated PE lessons to mixed ability pupils. You will be teaching across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, so a good knowledge of the Key Stage 3 curriculum and the GCSE syllabus is required. You must have strong classroom management skills to ensure that students remain ontask during your lessons. Where required, you may also be required to occasionally cover over lessons across the school.
The school itself is a large comprehensive school with over 1000 students on roll. The school is located in South Chesterfield, so it is easily commutable from Chesterfield, Mansfield, Alfreton or surrounding areas. The school sets high expectations on students and they are encouraged to develop into well-rounded young adults. The school is a pleasant and welcoming place to work. The PE Department specifically are a successful, dynamic and forward-thinking department, so you will be joining a great team.
