Teacher of Psychology and Sociology

Job Description:

PK Education are working in partnership with a Sheffield Secondary School to appointed a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology and Sociology for a long-term supply role. This post is scheduled to start ASAP and will continue until Easter. The school are ideally looking for someone who is available 5 days a week, but they will consider 4 days a week too.

As a Teacher of Psychology and Sociology, you will be tasked with delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to mixed ability students. You will be teaching mostly Key Stage 5 pupils, so a strong understanding of the A-Level syllabus is required to succeed in this post. Due to the nature of this role being a long-term position, you will also be required to plan lessons and mark work. For the right candidate, this role may become permanent, as the school are looking for a Teacher of Psychology and Sociology due to a recent resignation. 

The school itself is a vibrant and welcoming Secondary School that is part of a local Multi-Academy Trust. The school is located in South East Sheffield, so it is easily commutable from Sheffield, Chesterfield and Worksop. The school achieves excellent GCSE and A-Level Examination results, and staff have high expectations for students. Students are given the best learning opportunities to ensure they develop until their full potential.
