Teacher of Psychology & Sociology

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a KS3 to KS4 NQT or experienced Psychology and Sociology Teacher that has evidence of ambition. The school caters for pupils from 11-18 years. The department teach Psychology and Sociology to Key Stage 4 and 5.

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • A formal secondary teaching qualification
  • Able to teach subject to a high standard at A Level
  • A proven track record of delivering strong results
  • A willingness to actively contribute to curriculum development
  • A genuine belief that every child matters
  • Have a strong subject knowledge
  • Have ambition and a passion for learning
  • Be able to deliver outstanding classroom practice
  • Have high expectations of all learners
  • Be able to work collaboratively with others

As well as monitoring the behaviour of the classroom; it will be your responsibility to plan and deliver engaging lessons to students of all abilities in KS4 and 5, and monitor progression of your class. 

This role is starting in January 2019 and will continue until July 2019 with the possibility to be extended for the right candidate.
