Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to join a successful school based in Chesterfield. Ideally the school require a Teacher of Science who has experience in teaching all aspects of Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. It is the perfect opportunity for a Teacher of Science who is looking for teaching experience at a school who has high academic values and behavioural expectations from their pupils.  If you feel that you have the ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and that you are passionate about Science, you will enjoy working within this thriving and ambitious team.

This Teacher of Science role is expected to begin in September 2019 until December 2019 initially. However, this role may become permanent for the right candidate as it is covering a vacancy. 

We are looking for a person who has a positive attitude to teaching, as well as a good grasp of the syllabus, to be considered for this role of Teacher of Science you should also:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualifications
  • Have a good knowledge of the current National Curriculum
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and always strive to get the best out of your students
  • Be well organised
  • Be adaptable to cope with any situation Committed to raising standards

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS Certificate being carried out, as well as satisfactory references being taken.
