We’re currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with Autism due to a high demand from a school we work closely with.

We’re looking for someone to join us to work in various schools throughout Chesterfield on an ad-hoc basis. 

The successful candidates will: –

  • have experience of working with students
  • have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
  • be well-organised with high professional and personal standards
  • be able to establish good working relationships with students, staff and carers
  • have a positive ‘can do’ approach
  • Experience working with special need people especially autism
  • Deliver one to one support to learners
  • Be a team player and capable of supporting a team with daily operations.
  • Understand different teaching techniques in supporting learning.
  • The ability to engage learners through a range of teaching resources.
  • Highly organised, driven and the ability to work under pressure

In your new role you’ll be expected to assist teachers that are in classes of KS3 and KS4, and in turn, assist the students with their work. It might be that you’re expected to work in a classroom and assist students on a 1:1 basis or in groups. 

We need someone that has experience working with children with Autism.
