SEN Teaching Assistant – Chesterfield (S43)
Start Date: After Easter | Potential Permanent Opportunity

PK Education Sheffield are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the S43 area of Chesterfield.

This rewarding role involves supporting two Year 4 pupils who are currently working at a Year 1 academic level. The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help bridge learning gaps, build confidence, and encourage progress both academically and socially.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to two Year 4 pupils

• Deliver differentiated activities suited to a Year 1 level

• Support literacy, numeracy and phonics development

• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO

• Promote a positive, nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within SEN

• Demonstrate patience, empathy and strong behaviour management skills

• Be confident adapting learning materials to meet individual needs

• Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

• Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)
