Salary: MPS/UPS pro rata (dependent on experience)
PK Education are working with a secondary school in Barnsley who are looking to appoint a Health & Social Care and Geography Teacher from September 2026.
This is a part-time teaching position, approximately 0.6 FTE, with the exact working days to be confirmed. The role offers a unique opportunity to teach across both a vocational and an academic subject area within a supportive and well-established school.
The successful candidate will teach Health & Social Care alongside Geography, joining two departments that work collaboratively and place a strong emphasis on student engagement and achievement.
Health & Social Care remains a popular option subject within the school, helping students develop an understanding of health, wellbeing, and the care sector. Geography also enjoys strong uptake, with lessons designed to help students understand both physical and human processes shaping the world around them.
The Role
- Teaching Health & Social Care and Geography across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Marking and assessing student progress
- Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their potential
- Contributing positively to both departments
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Health & Social Care and/or Geography
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners
- A positive and professional approach to teaching and learning
