Pastoral Outreach Manager – Supporting Learners to Succeed

PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and proactive Pastoral Outreach Manager to join a supportive Secondary/SEND setting in Leeds. This rewarding long-term opportunity is ideal for an individual with experience supporting vulnerable and disengaged learners, working closely with families, and helping students overcome barriers to education.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving attendance, promoting positive behaviour, and strengthening relationships between the school, students, and their families to ensure every learner has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students who are at risk of disengagement from education
  • Implementing attendance intervention strategies to improve school attendance
  • Providing pastoral and behavioural support to students across the setting
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies
  • Conducting outreach work and supporting reintegration plans where required
  • Promoting restorative approaches to behaviour and conflict resolution
  • Monitoring student progress and identifying appropriate support strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and safeguarding teams

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience in attendance intervention and pastoral support
  • A background in outreach work within education, youth services, or similar settings
  • Experience supporting students with behavioural, social, emotional, or additional needs
  • Knowledge and understanding of restorative practice approaches
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with families and external support agencies
  • A passion for supporting vulnerable and disengaged learners
