1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Doncaster

PK Education are working with a secondary school in Doncaster who are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant from September.

This is a specific support position within a mainstream secondary setting, working closely with a student who requires additional assistance throughout the school day. The successful candidate will provide consistent support in lessons while helping the student access the wider school environment and become as independent as possible.

You’ll work closely with the class teachers and SEN team, following individual support strategies and adapting your approach depending on the situation.

The role includes:

• Providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
• Supporting access to classroom learning
• Helping the student remain engaged and focused
• Working alongside teaching and SEN staff
• Supporting positive behaviour and independence

We’re looking for:

• Previous 1:1 or SEN experience
• Secondary school experience is desirable
• Someone calm, patient and consistent
• Strong communication skills
• A genuine commitment to supporting young people
