PK Education is looking for caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in our partner schools across Northumberland, particularly Morpeth and the surrounding area.
With several schools in the area, we’d love to hear from people looking for a rewarding role where their support can make a real difference.
The role
You will work alongside teachers to support pupils with special educational needs, helping them feel safe, included and ready to learn. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing individual and small-group support tailored to pupils’ needs.

Supporting pupils with autism, learning difficulties or social, emotional and mental health needs.

Encouraging engagement, independence and positive relationships.

Helping pupils manage emotions and supporting positive behaviour.

Working with school staff to follow individual support plans.
What we’re looking for
-
Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs, whether in education, care, youth work or a similar setting.

A calm, patient approach and the ability to build trusting relationships.

Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.

A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
-
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification is welcomed, although practical experience is also valued.
