School Cleaner

Looking for cleaning work close to home?

PK Education is welcoming applications from reliable, hardworking cleaners interested in school cleaning opportunities across Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, Gateshead, Sunderland, County Durham and Teesside.

We’re growing our school cleaning team and would love to hear from people who take pride in keeping spaces clean, safe and welcoming.

School cleaning hours generally fall early in the morning before pupils arrive or in the afternoon after the school day. Please let us know your preferred locations and availability when applying.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and communal areas.

• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors, wipe surfaces and empty bins.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely, following instructions.

• Report maintenance issues and replenish cleaning supplies as required.

What we’re looking for

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable, particularly within schools or other busy settings.

• A reliable, punctual approach and good attention to detail.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Availability for early morning and/or afternoon shifts.

• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
