We’re seeking a committed English instructor to join a supportive secondary school in Walsall on a permanent basis.

 Position: English Cover Teacher
 Location: Walsall
 Pay: £100 per day
 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role:

As a Cover Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared english lessons to secondary students. You’ll ensure classes run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lessons to classes across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Maintain classroom control and a positive learning atmosphere

• Support students with their learning and behaviour

• Follow school policies and procedures

• Provide feedback to teaching staff after cover lessons

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Confidence teaching across a range of subjects

• Suitable for Cover Supervisors or experienced Teaching Assistants ready to step up
