Catering Assistants

PK Education are currently recruiting Catering Assistants to support the catering team within a school in Sunderland.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and would like to work within a friendly school environment. Previous catering or kitchen experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

The Role

• Supporting the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff.
• Helping with food preparation, kitchen duties and general cleaning.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Assisting with the smooth running of the school dining service.
• Working as part of a team to ensure meals are served efficiently and on time.
• Following school and catering procedures at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Friendly and approachable with good communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experienced in catering or food preparation is desirable, but not essential.

An Enhanced DBS is required for the role, or candidates must be willing to obtain one through PK Education.
