We’re looking for enthusiastic and dependable Cover Supervisors to join our supply team, supporting secondary schools across Nottingham.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll help ensure learning continues in the absence of the class teacher. You’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and keep students engaged and on task.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences across a range of subjects

• Deliver lesson plans provided by teaching staff

• Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies

• Create a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment

• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any concerns

• Support students with their learning when appropriate

• Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times

Requirements

• Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths (A–C or equivalent)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage behaviour with confidence and calmness

• Previous experience working with young people (desirable)

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
