PK Education are working with a welcoming secondary school in Doncaster who are looking to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Cover Supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to build a career within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, no two days are the same. You’ll deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain engaged while maintaining a positive learning environment. With no planning or marking required, the role allows you to focus on classroom management and supporting students throughout the school day.

The school has clear behaviour systems, supportive senior leaders, and an experienced cover team who work closely together to ensure every day runs smoothly.

The Role

• Supervising classes across KS3 and KS4 during teacher absence
• Delivering pre-planned lessons
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with the work provided
• Recording attendance and feeding back to teaching staff
• Becoming a valued member of the school’s wider support team

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with young people in a school, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar setting
• Confidence managing groups of students
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A calm, professional, and adaptable approach
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
